Error after updating.

If you get a "Loan Ace has encountered a problem and needs to close" error after updating, it is probably because a component failed to update properly. The resolution is to uninstall and then re-install LoanAce.

  1. Open Control Panel/ Settings and double–click on "Add or Remove Programs"/ "Programs and Features"
  2. After the list populates select LoanAce and click "Change/ Remove"/ "Uninstall or Change"
  3. Select 'Remove completely' (your loan files will not be touched)
  4. Delete any LoanAce desktop icons (a new desktop shortcut will be created)
  5. Go to LoanAce.com/Download and install the latest version.

If LoanAce is still not working after the above you might have to do a manual remove before re-installing. See instructions here

Not connected to the internet error.

If you see this warning when you're installing LoanAce you probably have a software firewall such as Norton Internet Security, ZoneAlarm or similar installed and it is blocking LoanAce. Either explicitly allow LoanAce.exe and dfsvc.exe to access the internet or turn off the firewall while installing LoanAce. Do not have the firewall "Always Block" if you plan on using LoanAce. Blocking LoanAce from access the internet will prevent the application from installing properly and can cause it to freeze.

Here is a quick video on what you should see when installing LoanAce.
